UN Civil Society Conference Yields Woke Outcome Document
The lack of diversity of thought at the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference is reflected in the overly progressive outcome package asking for mainstreaming of sexual and reproductive rights, recognition of “gender diverse people” as a special category worthy of protection, as well the several Critical Theory-inspired talking points such as dismantling entranced patriarchal norms and speaking truth to power.
UN Working Group on Ageing
Earlier this month, UN member states took the floor at the UN Conference on Population and Development to raise the alarm about the devastating effects of population decline on their societies. Some even blamed UN’s decades-long efforts favoring lowering fertility rates as a cause for this dim reality.
2024 UN Civil Society Conference
The first-ever UN civil society conference held in Nairobi, Kenya just wrapped up this past week. The conference welcomed over 3,000 civil society representatives, 400 parliamentarians, 100 media reporters, as well as delegates from 37 UN entities.
ECOSOC Youth Forum
The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) hosted its yearly Youth Forum, a three-day conference joined by hundreds of young people ready to discuss issues pertaining to climate change, youth inclusion in multilateralism, and AI, among other topics.
Best of CSW68
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) held its 68th session at the United Nations Headquarters and the IYc team was there every day throughout the two weeks of programming! We attended tens of events, raised questions during Q&A sessions, and interacted with panelists and civil society representatives to share the pro-life and pro-family message.

Daniela García, IYc Director, joined EWTN, a global Catholic television program, to talk about IYc, and to applaud young people who dare to stand up for life and family despite an increasingly hostile social environment for conservatives.
UN This Week Feb 19-22
The Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) delivered a statement at an informal consultation meeting on the UN Pact of the Future and flagged that the 20-page draft lacks any reference to the family.
UN This Week: Feb 12-15
The Executive Board of UN Women held several plenary meetings and informal consultations at the UN headquarters throughout the week. They went over reports, assessed organizational progress, and offered member states the chance to make statements and ask questions related to women's empowerment and gender equality.
