  • Patrick Breen, the U.S. Adviser for the Third Committee, called for a future UN report to “address the negative effects of the anti-rights and anti-gender movements on the advancement of gender equity and equality.”

  • The EU, US, UK, Ireland, and Latvia expressed concerns about increasing incidents of intimidation that obstruct positive interactions between civil society and the UN. Paradoxically, pro-life and pro-family organizations attempting to engage with the UN are sometimes labeled as 'anti-rights' and even face exclusion from certain events due to their unique perspective.
